Early Roots and the LA Scene
Growing up in San Pedro, Rory found early inspiration riding his bike down to a nearby studio to listen to the sounds of the band Ambrosia and Barry White. He later became a professional songwriter and musician in Los Angeles, cutting his teeth at legendary iconic venues like the Whisky a Go Go, Gazzarri’s, Madame Wong’s, and the Hollywood Palladium. During those formative years, he rubbed elbows with the likes of Van Halen and Santana percussionist Poncho Sanchez, and even shared a studio at the same time as Joe Walsh.

A Life Shift and a New Mission
Despite receiving multiple private record deal offers in his youth, Rory chose loyalty to his band and passed on deals that compromised his standards. He eventually stepped away from music entirely overnight to focus on raising and caring for his son. After a 25-year hiatus, he attempted a comeback in 2020 just as the pandemic hit. Now, firmly rooted in his faith, Rory believes the Lord has sent him back out on a “mission from God” to make history and bring authentic music back to the world
